There is lots going on in the neighborhood, so please be sure to save these dates. Looking forward to seeing you…
The Bristol Federal Hill Association has several upcoming opportunities for you to get involved by volunteering to staff one of our booths. In addition to ornaments and cookbooks, we are getting known for cotton candy. So please help us raise money for next year’s Concert on the Green series. Just 2 hours of your time on a beautiful fall weekend would be a big help.
Saturday, September 22nd from 8 AM to 9 PM Mum Festival at Memorial Boulevard
We need quite a few volunteers for this event. If you received our email, there was a link for an electronic sign up. Or you can contact Wendy Carros at 860-585-6956 to sign up for a 2 hour block of time.
Friday, September 28th from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM Zion Lutheran Church Fall Fest & Tag
Saturday, September 29th from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM Sale, Judd Street
Please contact Karen at Karen@fishers.net or at 860-584-1372 if you can volunteer a few hours on either of these days.
Saturday, September 29th from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM Family Fun Farm Day, Roberts
Rain Date: Sunday, September 30th Farm, 125 Hill Street
Please contact Karen at Karen@fishers.net or at 860-584-1372 if you can lend a few hours.
OK, now that we have the fundraising events out of the way, here are some FUN raising events to mark in your calendar:
Monday, September 24th at 7:00 PM BFHA Business Meeting with Pizza at Bristol Historical Society
Join us for pizza while we plan out the upcoming year’s events. Please RSVP to Mary Ellen Zoppo at email@example.com or at 860-589-1527 so we are sure to have plenty of food on hand.
Sunday, September 30th from 4:00 PM to 6 PM Final Concert on the Green, Federal Hill Green
Our final concert of the season will feature The Bristol Brass and Wind Ensemble and the Bristol Choral Society. JR of Parkside Café and Garnish fame has generously volunteered to sponsor the mobile band shell. What a glorious way to wrap up the summer and the Mum Festival weekend!
Plans are also underway for an October pot luck dinner, probably the weekend of October 26th / 27th. We will keep you posted. Hopefully we won’t have any early winter weather to disrupt it, or we will be eating by candlelight…
We Welcome any and all Helpful Hints for the Hill
